Here we are ! Hi everybody !
This year we are taking part in this interesting project . We are 18 students from Liceo Scientifico "G.Marconi" , a secondary school in Carrara . Our class,
4 D , is made up of 12 girls and 6 boys. We are very close to one another as we have been together since the first grade , apart from a new student who has just arrived . We know each other well now : we are growing up together and help each other despite some disagreements .
We attend the maths and computer science course , which is quite demanding , but  working together makes it pleasant and we sometimes even turn duty into fun . We get on well together , so in our spare time we  enjoy going out together too  . We have a good relationship with our teachers  and we usually try to solve problems by speaking. After school most of us study and spend time playing sports , such as volleyball , football and swimming.... By the way , we are very proud to have Gianluigi Buffon , the famous goalkeeper , as a fellow citizen !  At weekends we meet in Marina di Carrara , the part of our town which is near the sea . Only a few kilometres away there is an area called Versilia which is renowned as a holiday resort because of its entertainment . There are many pubs and clubs where different types of music are played : house music , techno , rock and pop music ...
During our summer holidays we go to the beach . There are many private beach complexes with a lot of tourists . Carrara is also famous for its food : Colonnata 's lard , bean soup and its famous rice pudding . And what about our Apuan Alps that make Carrara famous all over the world for its white marble ? In fact this is the main topic we will examine in our project and it's something we really care about .
