Hello girls, boys and teachers! What can we tell you about us? Well, we are 24 Italian students (9 girls and 15 boys) between 15 and 17 years old. I hope you’ll find us friendly and likeable when you meet us. We are from Carrara: our town is famous for its white marble. We attend the second year at the Liceo Scientifico "G. Marconi". Our class is II B. "B" like "beautiful beaches", as the ones we have in Italy.
In our school there is a little weather station where the rainfall data of the last 35 years are recorded. We had two exceptional floods: in 1996 and in 2003. The first, in 1996, destroyed two villages in "Versilia"; in 2003 the Carrione river broke its banks and flooded Carrara centre, too. Well, we don’t want to bore you, so we finish here our letter with a big kiss for you. Hope to see you soon. All the best, Class II B |
